Apple Unveils New A17 Pro Chip

At its "Wonderlust" event, Apple announced the A17 Pro chip that will power the new iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models. This marks a notable upgrade from the A16 chip in the standard iPhone 15.
The A17 Pro is built on an advanced 3nm process, allowing significant gains in performance and efficiency over the 4nm A16. It features a 6-core CPU with two high-performance cores that are 10% faster, plus four efficiency cores.
Apple also redesigned the GPU, now with six cores capable of ray tracing and 20% higher performance. The Neural Engine nearly doubles in speed as well. For connectivity, the A17 Pro supports faster 10Gbps USB-C transfers.
